Ribbed rubber on the worktop — what it really does
The ribbing increases friction, so a tool that has been put down does not slide off the worktop and small parts do not roll to the edge. The 3 mm layer also cushions a fall — an item dropped onto rubber is less likely to be damaged than one dropped on steel.
The mat is glued to the worktop. This is a permanent but irreversible solution — for work involving solvents and high temperatures, a galvanised steel cover is more suitable.
Construction and finish
The steel elements are powder coated with epoxy-polyester paints. The coating is heat-cured, so it withstands rubbing by tools and cleaning with workshop agents without dulling — unlike wet-applied paint.
The standard body colour is RAL 7035 (light grey), and for hanging accessories RAL 6033 (mint green). This contrast is not accidental: the green element stands out against the grey tool wall, so the empty space left by a removed tool is easy to spot.
Furniture and accessories come to you straight from the manufacturer, with no intermediaries — hence a lead time measured in weeks rather than days, and hence the option of matching the colour to the equipment you already have.
Why accessories are bought separately
The workbench is sold with a worktop and frame, without a tool wall fitted. This is deliberate: two workshops with the same floor area need a completely different layout of holders because they work with different tools.
By buying accessories individually, you pay for what you actually use and expand the workstation gradually. The elements are interchangeable within the system, so the order of purchases does not matter — nothing has to be planned in advance.
Where it works well
- Car workshops and service centres — tool organisation at the workstation
- Maintenance — repair and assembly workstations
- Production and assembly — repetitive tasks at the workbench

Frequently asked questions about W-GB3
Can the cover be removed later?
The rubber cover is glued to the worktop, so removing it means destroying it and cleaning off the adhesive. The galvanised steel covering is a permanent solution — when choosing, it is best to assume from the start that it stays for good.
Which workbench does this variant fit?
A 3-module workbench. The variant must match the width of the worktop — a version for a different number of modules will not sit flush with the structure.
What colour is this item?
Standard is RAL 7035 (Light grey). RAL 1015, 6033, 5005 and 9005 (Jet black) are also available at no extra charge — other shades from the RAL palette are priced individually.
What is the lead time?
Standard is 3–7 weeks. From November to January the lead time may be longer due to the higher volume of orders.
