Top unit for office cabinet with hinged doors, width 1000 mm is a complementary unit placed on an office cabinet of the same width. It raises the height of the set to the ceiling and closes off the row of cabinets, instead of leaving a dust-collecting space above them.

Espagnolette lock — why three locking points
The espagnolette bolt locks the door at three places at once: top, bottom and middle. A single-point lock holds the door only at the handle line, so a tall door can be prised away at the corner.
In a cabinet 1920 mm high, this difference decides whether the lock is real security or merely a sign that the cabinet is closed.
The .100 version — what the extra 100 mm gives you
The ending .100 in the code denotes a width of 1000 mm 1000 mm instead of the standard 900 mm. The height, depth and number of shelves remain unchanged.
The extra 100 mm is room for one more row of lever-arch files on each shelf. With four shelves, that is a dozen or so more files without increasing the number of cabinets in the room.
Why add a top unit
The top unit is 500 mm high and has the same width as the cabinet it stands on. The cabinet plus top unit combination closes off the space up to the ceiling, which provides extra room for a rarely used archive and eliminates the dust-collecting ledge above the cabinets.
The top unit is not a freestanding cabinet — it requires a base cabinet of matching width.
What to keep in the top unit
A height of 500 mm and a position above eye level mean the top unit is unsuitable for documents used daily — reaching them requires a step. It works well, however, as a working archive: closed annual files, documentation from completed projects, a stock of office supplies.
The top unit has the same type of lock as the base cabinet, so the contents are secured in the same way as in the lower section.
Construction and finish
The body is made of bent and welded steel sheet, powder-coated with epoxy-polyester paints. The powder coating is heat-cured, so it withstands everyday rubbing from lever-arch files and cleaning with detergents without dulling, unlike wet-applied paint.
The base colour is RAL 7035, i.e. light grey — a neutral shade that does not stand out in an office and does not show dust as clearly as white. Four additional colours from the RAL palette are available at no extra cost, and the others are quoted individually.
The furniture comes to you straight from the manufacturer, with no intermediaries — hence lead times measured in weeks rather than days, and hence the ability to match the colour to existing furnishings.

Frequently asked questions about BUN/1,100
How does the .100 version differ from the standard one?
Only in width: 1000 mm instead of 900 mm. The height, depth, number of shelves and lock type remain identical. The wider version holds an extra row of lever-arch files on each shelf.
Can the top unit be placed on any cabinet?
The top unit must have the same width as the base cabinet. The 900 mm model fits 900 mm cabinets, and the .100 version fits cabinets 1000 mm wide. The depth is common to the whole range.
