Bolted RM or boltless RSM — which to choose
These are two different systems, not variants of the same shelving. RM is bolted together with screws, has sheet-steel shelves and powder coating, and a single shelf carries 70 kg. RSM is assembled without tools by hooking in the supports, has MDF shelves and hot-dip zinc coating, and the shelf load capacity is 150 or 250 kg.
The choice comes down to weight and conditions. For archives, small parts and a small stockroom, RM is enough — it is lighter and neater. For palletised goods, damp halls and places where the shelving gets knocked by trucks, RSM is the better choice: zinc does not chip, and a load capacity three times higher gives a margin for overloading.
Perforation every 55 mm — why such a fine pitch
The denser the perforation, the more precisely you can match the level height to the packing height. With a 100 mm pitch, a few centimetres of empty space remain above each carton, which with five shelves means losing a whole level.
A 55 mm pitch limits this loss — on the scale of a warehouse it really means more goods on the same floor area.

Frequently asked questions about PR/3
Can I add the shelf to shelving I already have?
Yes. The uprights of RM shelving are perforated every 55 mm over the full height, so you can insert an additional level between the existing ones without rebuilding.
How do I know which depth to choose?
The shelf depth must match the shelving depth. This model is 300 mm — you will also find the value in the shelving symbol: in the RM series the digit after the slash means the depth in hundreds of millimetres, and in the RSM series it is given directly.
What do the symbols RM and RSM mean?
RM is bolted shelving, RSM is boltless shelving. In the RM series the digit after the slash encodes the depth in hundreds of millimetres, so RM/4 is 400 mm. In the RSM series the first number is the depth in millimetres and the second is the number of shelves — RSM/400-4 is shelving with a depth of 400 mm and four shelves.
What is the lead time?
Standard is 3–7 weeks. From November to January the lead time may be longer due to the higher volume of orders.
